Are you worried about an elderly relative? Have questions about how to help? Do you need information about services? Do you or a loved one need emotional support and stress relief?

We love helping elders and their families! Our counselors provide psycho-social support and problem-solving to individual elders, older couples, and to family members who are concerned about elderly loved ones.

We can help you through face-to-face meetings, over the phone, or online via Zoom. We can meet here at Elderly Services or offer a home visit. We help with both local and long-distance eldercare concerns.

Elderly Services offers affordable hourly counseling rates for you. In some cases, we will bill original/government Medicare for counseling.

Kristin Bolton
Executive Director

Kristin Bolton was named executive director of ESI in 2023, after serving for many years as assistant director. Kristin earned her Master’s in Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati and her B.A. from Swarthmore College. A member of the Aging Life Care Association, she is Care Manager Certified by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.

Joanne Corbett
Social Worker

Joanne Corbett served as executive director of ESI from 1990 until 2023. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work in 1978 and her A.B. from Harvard University in 1975. Joanne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She is Care Manager Certified by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers and a member of the Aging Life Care Association.

Eileen Lawson
Social Worker

Eileen Lawson joined ESI in 2016 having moved to Vermont after many years as a social worker and Alzheimer’s Support Group Leader in Massachusetts. Eileen is a PAC-Certified Dementia Care Coach and earned her BSW from Anna Maria College in 1980. A member of the Aging Life Care Association, she is Care Manager Certified by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.

Amanda Payne
Social Worker

Amanda Payne joined ESI in 2024. Amanda earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Concentration in Forensic Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020. She then went on to complete her Master’s in Social Work through Arizona State University in 2024. She is a member of the Aging Life Care Association.

Courtney Thorn
Health Educator

Courtney Thorn joined ESI in 2024. Courtney grew up in New Haven, Vt., and after earning her B.A. from Hawai’i Pacific University, she moved back to the area. Courtney earned her Master’s in Health Studies from the University of Alabama. A member of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing and the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching, Courtney is a certified Health Educator and Health Coach.
